Buchberg - Winkl / St. Gilgen

Follow the road from Kirchenplatz, pass the Radetzky Hotel , it curves right into the Mondseeer Strasse passing by the swimming pool and yacht club on the right. The road then has a short, steep incline up the Sonnenbichl hill. It passes along the perimeter of the grounds of Hotel Billroth on the left and continues along until it meets the intersection to the Bundesstrasse on the left. Take the path left and cross over the road, and follow the road up leading over the Mühlhauer Höhe
and down to the Mühlauer Farm. Just beyond the farm the path winds past several houses until it reaches the Buchberg Farm. For the return journey follow the same path in reverse, or take the alternative route across the Bundesstrasse into Winkl, past the cloister (Kloster Gut Aich), turning right towards Fürberg, Brunnwinkl and back to St Gilgen.
