Zinkenbachklamm walk -- Abersee

A short, level walk beside the Zinkenbach River.

The starting point is at the car park near the Zinkenbachbauer farmstead, where the forest service road into the Zinkenbach Valley begins. The road first passes to the right of the weir near the Old Forestry House, curves to the left and enters the Zinkenbach valley over two small bridges. Now the road is on the right bank of the stream and for some time leads directly southward until you arrive at a bend in the stream and the road ascends to the left. Those who want to, can go on for miles up the valley. We highly recommend this walk through the gorge on a sunny, winter’s morning to experience the sight of sunlight through frozen icicles – an unforgettable sight.
