Snow Report
around the lake wolfgang.

Winter has come upon the land…

When the red light of dawn glimmers over the glittering mountain
tops and the mist over the lake begins to fade away, it’s time to lace up your hiking boots. How different and yet so familiar everything is in this white fairytale landscape! The silence is liberating and uplifting rather than overwhelming and your breath hangs in the cold air with only the soft, muffled crunch of your own footsteps drowning out the sound of your heartbeat.

A glance down onto the tranquil lake below awakens memories of a summer gone by but you tramp on and on carefully , until the winter sun glitters through the Sparber peak and the Bleckwand mountain, before taking a midday rest.
After all, later you would like to try something new, like cross country skiing and two endless white trails cross the countryside passing over the flat meadows and gentle hills and allowing the seemingly tireless cross country skier to glide on forever. Who knows where the trails lead? It’s possible to forget the time here and only to be reminded of it when you return in the evening to the sound of the church bells in the distance… and then, wouldn’t it be a pity, after such and wonderful day, not to spend a winter evening on the shores of the Wolfgangsee?

Winter - Special - Programm

Experience everxthing that makes the winter at the lake Wolfgang so unbelievably attractive, in scarcely one week!
