Arts and Crafts Market in St. Gilgen

The first arts and crafts market in St. Gilgen this year takes place on September 25 and September 26, 2010 directly on the picturesque lake Wolfgangsee at the lake side.

Approximately 70 chosen craftspeople from in and outside of Austria present their high-value self-made products made out of the most diverse materials such as ceramic, pottery, wood, glass, leather, paper, metal and many more.
The distinctiveness of the market is the „animate workshops“. The visitors can collect information about the working methods and different materials from the craftspeople directly. It is a lively exchange between spectator and manufacturer.
The official opening of the market is on Saturday, September 26th at 11am at the Seepark with St. Gilgen’s vice-mayor Mr. Thalmair.
Live music on both market days and culinary delicacies from the region complete the programme. Admission is free on both days. The event will take place at all weather conditions!
