In 1734 the “Salt Man“ was found deep in the mountains of the Hallstatt salt mines One of the longest miners slides in the world ,an approx. 1400 M2 underground mystically light salt lake and the glistening salt crystal chamber are just some of the interesting attractions which are to be experienced during a visit to the salt mines.

The giant ice caves are amongst some of the largest in the world. They are the most impressive tourist attraction in the Salzkammergut.
