Fixed rope route „Kleefeld“

A new rock climbing centre as well as a new round-trip hike around the area of Gasthof Kleefeld awaits the skilful climber and every hiker.

The rock climbing centre includes 24 routes between 15 and 20 metres hight and a level of difficulty between III and VI. The latter is especially convenient for families, children groups and climbing courses.

At the right hand there are two fixed rope routes. One 70 m long exercising route (difficult level C) and an easy 100 m long trail (A), which can be used as a descend. The „Brustwandrundweg“ (a circular trail) starts at Gasthaus Kleefeld, leads over the easy route to a beautiful viewpoint and comes back on a broad and even path to the starting point, walking distance approx. one hour. Now put on your hiking boots or your climbing gear and off you go!

Directions: coming from Strobl, you take the direction to Postalm, at the beginning oft he valley you take the road to Gasthof Kleefeld, you can park at one of the many parking spaces (approx. 2 km from the centre of Strobl). Access: walk from the car park at Gasthaus Kleefeld via the wildlife park, follow the forestry road towards the Sparber, after approx. 300m turn right to the signed woodland path until the bottom of the mountain. Walking distance approx. 15min.

Characteristics: it is an absolute family-, beginners-, refreshers-, course areal. Just next to the rock climbing centre there is a new exercising route with difficulty level C that is approx. 60 metres long, an assured hill-climbing route difficulty level A that is approx. 100 m long and a loop trail with terrific viewpoints.

At the Gasthaus Kleefeld there is a wildlife park, children’s playground, outdoor dining area with garden atmosphere… for „non climbers“.
